There are those who love to get dirty and fix things. They drink coffee at dawn, beer after work. And those who stay clean, just appreciate things. At breakfast, they have milk and juice at night. There are those who do both, they drink tea. -Gary Snyder

Afternoon tea with petit fours, sandwiches, light cakes over conversations & more, is a very British concept. To me, it's a perfect setting to catch up with my girlfriends, gossip, have our favourite blends of tea over some fabulously baked goodies.

So when Four Seasons Bengaluru, invited me and a select group of women from different circles - it was something I didn't want to miss out on.

The event was curated to perfection by Executive Chef Stephane and Aslam Gafoor from Gourmet passport. Our welcome drink was a Champagne Bellini - an absolutely refreshing drink for balmy noon.

While we all settled in the lounge area, browsing through the set menu, followed by an introduction by the General Manager of FS Bengaluru -I ordered for some more Champagne, as I went about clicking pictures of a perfect setting for my afternoon tea.

Set tables, ready to welcome all the ladies!!

Exemplary service with a courteous smile - something that one can always expect at the Four Seasons Bengaluru.

Here's the curated menu for your reference :

As usual, I ordered my all-time favourite Darjeeling tea with a wedge of lime. This paired perfectly well with all the appetisers.

Hot Darjeeling tea poured in especially for me :)

Loved the medley of colours in these orchids, which were placed as a centrepiece on every table.

Bite-sized Savouries - On the top: Vegetable curry puff, open tomato mozzarella brioche and Chicken Ham Sandwich.
