This recipe does not require any special equipment, is versatile enough for your kid to make one and you can try it with multiple variations with respect to toppings (Nuts, fruits, oats etc)

Here's what you need : INGREDIENTS : 3 Cups of all purpose flour 1 cup of castor sugar 1/2 tsp - Cinnamon powder 1/2 cup - soft, unsalted butter 2 eggs , whisked 3 tbsp - Cocoa powder 1/2 tsp - Baking powder 1/4 tsp - Baking soda 1 medium size, coarsely ground ripe banana Chocolate chips - add as much as you need :) 1 tsp - Vanilla extract A pinch of salt

PROCEDURE 1. In a bowl, mix butter and sugar together until they form a creamy consistency. 2. Add in whisked eggs, vanilla essence, cocoa powder and cinnamon powder. 3. Fold in the flour, baking powder and baking soda. 4. Finally add the puree'd banana & chocolate chips - you should have a nice sticky dough at this stage. 5. Refrigerate the dough for a minimum of 1 hr, by covering the dough with a cling wrap. 6. Pre heat the oven at 180C for 10mins. Roll out the cookie dough in desired shapes over a parchment paper. 7. Place coarsely chopped chocolate chips over the dough and apply a little pressure. This is to ensure that all chocolate chips stick to the cookie when baked. 8. Bake these cookies for 15mins or until they start to turn brown around the corners. 9. Place them over a rack to cool.

And you are done :)
